VMware’s certification system is now built around a role-based framework, with multiple technology tracks—such as Data Center Virtualization, Network Virtualization, Cloud Management and Automation, Security, Digital Workspace, and App Modernization—offering progressive certifications from Associate (VCTA) and Professional (VCP) to Advanced Professional (VCAP) and Design Expert (VCDX). Notably, the VCDX expert-level certification was officially retired at the end of 2024, with current emphasis placed on VCP and VCAP certifications to validate hands-on and design capabilities. The VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) certification has also introduced a new lifecycle policy, setting a 36-month validity period, with renewal required through exams to ensure skills remain up to date. AAAdemy provides learning support precisely aligned with VMware’s official certification blueprint—including structured knowledge explanations, path planning, study strategies, and practice exams—helping candidates efficiently build skill paths and stay current with certification updates.
