Veeam’s certification system currently focuses on developing core technical expertise, built around the Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) and the soon-to-be-retired Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA). The VMCE is the primary certification, validating engineers’ practical skills in using the Veeam Data Platform for data protection and recovery (current version: v12). The VMCA, designed for advanced architects, will officially retire on November 30, 2025. All certifications require candidates to complete training courses delivered by Veeam Authorized Education Centers (VMAEC)—available online or in-person—before taking the exam. Successful candidates receive a digital badge as proof of their certified skills. AAAdemy provides learning support closely aligned with Veeam’s official certification blueprint—including structured knowledge explanations, path planning, study strategies, and practice exams—helping candidates efficiently build skill paths and stay current with certification changes.
